Adsense payments via WEstern Union Bank

Google Adsense offering a new payment method for some countries. Publishers who located in
Argentina, Chile, China (Mainland), Colombia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, or Romania, may change the payment method to Western Union Quick Cash.

Western Union is a new form of payment that lets publisher receive the AdSense payments in cash using the worldwide Western Union money transfer service. According to Google AdSense normal payment schedule, payments for publishers will be available for pickup at the local Western Union agent the day after they are issued.
AdSense payments with Western Union is totally free. With this new payment method, publishers will no longer need to wait for a check to arrive in the postal mail. This new payment method can also cut down on bank fees and long clearing times associated with depositing checks.
However, I wonder why Google didn’t make this payment method for worldwide. If they really care about their publisher, they should make it available worldwide.

To exchange the payment method, publisher should keep these important points in mind:

Western Union Quick Cash is only available in Argentina, Chile, China (Mainland), Colombia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, and Romania as mentioned above.

Unfortunately, Google doesn’t support this payment method for business account. This new payment method is currently only available to individual payee names.

To pick up the payment, publisher will need to bring the government-issued ID that will be used to validate the payee name in adsense with the ID.

The payments must be picked up within 35 days of issuance or they will expire. If this case happened, a payment hold will be placed on AdSense account and the payment will be credited back to publisher’s account.

All payments will be made in US dollars, but they may be picked up in your local currency, depending on local Western Union agent that being used by publishers

Add traffic to ur blog

After doing up nice websites with interesting contents, the webmasters' dilemma is usually one of attracting visitors to their sites. Having more visitors is gratifying; it is a reward that website owners deserve for putting time and effort into their sites.

Traffic exchange networks were designed to promote visitor traffic to websites or blogs. The idea is simple – members of the network surf each other's sites. Upon setting up an account with a traffic exchange program, you will be entitled to earn 'credits' by manually surfing other members' sites. Depending on the program, you may have anything between 0.5 to 1.0 credit for every site you visit. There is a timer at the top or bottom frame of the page to compel you to remain at the site for a period of time. This can range between 10 to 30 seconds. You are then required to click one of the images to correspond with the given image in order to proceed to the next random site.

This is to prevent autosurfing hacks that may cheat the system.With the 'credits' you earn, you can assign them to your blogs. For every visitor you get to your blog, 1 credit will be deducted until all your 'credits' are spent. In a nutshell, the more blogs you visit, the more visitors you get to your blogs.Alas, no program is perfect. While the concept of traffic exchange sounds good, there are the negative aspects that you should consider as well. I'll summarize the good and bad points of traffic exchange.

Pros of traffic exchange

1. The programs are free, that is if you are not buying the 'credits' but earning them.

2. For some programs, you can specify the category of blogs you would like to view or the sort of visitors you would like to have. The traffic is therefore targeted.

3. While viewing other member blogs, you may come across a couple of interesting ones that you can re-visit or learn from.

4. Since the programs work well only if they have a wide network of members, the administrators often conduct mini contests and games to interest the members. You may find some fun in these communities.

Cons of traffic exchange

1. The biggest negative point is that such traffic exchanges run counter to many advertising programs, especially those that pay you based on impressions you get to your site. A notable one is Google AdSense. If your site's traffic is mainly through traffic exchanges, be prepared to receive reminders like this from the Google administrator:-“It has come to our attention that invalid clicks or impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s) through users of third-party programs paid or provided with other incentives to visit your site. Such programs may include, but are not limited to auto-surf, pay-to-surf, pay-to-read, or pay-to-click sites.”

2. A number of the sites that register with traffic exchanges are new sites and are not worth the time reading. Many of the established ones that have a good following of readers do not need such traffic exchange programs to boost their traffic.3. After surfing for a while, you would also find yourself looking at the same sites over and over again, simply because only a fraction of the members are active users. It may be boring in that sense.4. While I make it a point to read some sites, I believe that many people don't. They may be doing their homework or watching television, and mindlessly clicking the image after every 30 seconds or so. You may be getting more visitors but these are not the people who appreciate your blog contents.

Blog Traffic Exchange sites

If you want to have a go at it, here are the ones I think you can consider.

Blogmad

This has a 1:1 ratio, which means that for every site you visit, someone will visit yours. The surf timer is 25 seconds and the site layout, ideas, and image icons (with the two big eyes) are pretty nice.

Blog Explosion

The surf ratio is 2:1, i.e. for every two blogs you visit, one person will visit yours. The saving grace is that they have about close to 50,000 blogs registered, although I have an inkling that only a small percentage of these are active. They do run contests like Battle of the Blogs which add to the fun of using their service.

Blog Soldiers

Another 2:1 ratio traffic exchange. Nothing fanciful about the site, and the administrators should do more work to build up their membership base.Blog Advance Their surf ratio of 1:1 sounds attractive, and like a few other programs, they throw in free bonus points when you log in or surf. What I didn't like was their lack of response. I raised a technical problem concerning adding a site and despite 2 messages, they have not replied. Such a contradiction to their statement that “at Blog Advance your voice doesn't fall on deaf ears.” Also, I received error messages on a few occasions despite having clicked the correct surfbar images and was unable to proceed to subsequent blogs. I guess there are unresolved bugs in the coding of their program. (Update: This service is no longer available and link is therefore removed.)

EasyHits4U

This is another 1:1 traffic exchange site that seems to have more commercial sites registered with them than blogs. It has a 30-second timer giving viewers a lot of time to view the blogs. The thing that stands out is that they pay you cash for active surfing ($0.50 for 1000 sites viewed)

TrafficG

This is not blog specific, and you will see a number of non-blog websites. The ratio of 1:1 is good, and the longer surf time of 30 seconds means that you might get more quality traffic, people who browse your blog contents.Blogazoo They have a 4:3 ratio, and credit incentives to read blogs and find the 'gazoos'. (Update: This service is temporarily not available and link is removed.)

Linkreferral

I happened to come across this site last week. Essentially, when you register your blog with them, other members can review your site, give a rating and post comments.

The more sites you visit or review, the higher your blog rank will be, and the more likely that your blog will be seen by others. Unlike the other programs, you will expect visitors to go through what you write in order to review your blog.ConclusionIf your blog is new, traffic exchange may do wonders in sending visitors to your site. Surfing other members' sites is also a good way to learn useful tips to improve on your blog. For a wider exposure, you would want to have your blog listed in Blog Directories, Feed Directories, and search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.com. Also, submit your Blog to the various Search Engines. Nothing beats content though, and if you have good quality writing, you can be sure that your blog will be read.

How to remove navbar

The Blogger or Blogspot Navbar is a default feature that appears at the top of every Blogger powered blog. It is a useful navigation tool which allows readers to search the blog for targeted content, mark the blog as objectionable, and randomly view other member blogs.

The Navbar can be disabled for users who publish contents via FTP, but it will appear on all freely hosted BlogSpot blogs. While the feature is undeniably useful, some people find that its position at the top of the page looks obtrusive even with a choice of 4 colors. Some therefore pick a template with a black background to blend well with a black navigation bar. There are also parents and educators who find the 'view random blogs' feature inappropriate, as their children may inadvertently view objectionable blogs.

Nevertheless, this article is not a discussion on the merits or demerits of a Navbar. That is for you to decide. Here, I am assuming that you have made a conscious decision to hide or remove the Navbar. Having so decided, this is the guide on how you can do it.

Log into your dashboard, go to Template -> Edit HTML. Scroll to anywhere on the template and insert the following CSS style definition written below within the head section.

#navbar-iframe {
display: none;
}

or

#navbar-iframe {
visibility: hidden;
}

Traffic exchange sites

Traffic Exchange Sites

A number of traffic exchange sites have blog directories which can include links to your blog. You may read my earlier article for a more detailed discussion on traffic exchange programs.

Blog Directories

Technorati

They supposedly track 75.2 million blogs. Quite naturally, you would want your blog to be one of them. Register with them and submit your blog. Follow their instructions to claim your blog. They will provide you with statistics like the number of blogs that link to you. You can also invite other members to favorite your blog.

Wikablog

If you are familiar with Wikipedia, this is the equivalent for blogs. It faces the same problems as Wikipedia i.e., while it is easy to list your blog, it is equally easy for others to edit your listing. Nevertheless, for a new blogger, this is one of the fastest way to have your blog appear in a directory. [Update: This site has been down for quite a while and link is therefore removed.]

Fuel My Blog

This is an interesting directory. Unlike the usual text-based blog directories, this site goes by images that you create to represent your blog. When your visitors click a link on your site that says Fuel My Blog!, your image will move up the ranks and appear on the front page, making it more visible to directory viewers.

Blogtoplist

A blog directory listing that is sorted by the number of unique visitors to your blog. Your visitors can also cast a Vote to increase your ranking. The scores are reset every week to allow new bloggers like us a chance to be placed among the top.

Topblogsites

Here, you are ranked by unique hits based on the Votes you receive from your visitors. Many of the comments posted on the directory site are spam comments, and if you can disable comments, you might want to do that. [Update: This site has been down for quite a while and link is therefore removed.]

Mybloggingarea

Another directory that ranks you based on the Votes and the number of unique visitors to your site.

Topblogarea

A blog directory that tracks unique visitors. Unlike the earlier ones, visitors do not vote at this directory.

Blogflare

This is a simple, nice blog directory that tracks your unique visitors and pageviews. [Update: This site has been down for quite a while and link is therefore removed.]

Topblogging

Here, you are ranked based on unique visitors. Although there is a count for votes in, somehow the code provided by them did not track this vote count.

Blogroll

I joined this directory only about a week ago. A simple directory that monitors the Votes and unique hits.

Worldtopblogs

Ranking is by the Votes cast by the visitors to your blog.

Topbloglists

There is a voting gateway for your visitors but ranking is based on unique pageviews.

Google Money Making Ad Options

Google Money Making Ad Options
Google offers three ways to make money from them:

Google AdSense for Content - A variety of size and shape ads for placing in your content are available. These can be text or image ads or both - you specify what you'll allow. Ad units are full ads. Link units are simply a strip of text links that your visitors might want to click. Google allows you to put up to 3 Ad Units and 1 Link unit on each page of your Web site, provided you follow its policies - both for AdSense and for Webmasters.

Google AdSense for Search - This places a search box on your Web site. When a user enters a term and conducts a search, a search results page opens, that hosts more pay-per-click ads. You can customize the color scheme of the search results page to harmonize with your web site.

Google Referrals - Here you make money by referring visitors to use a Google product, like AdSense, AdWords, the Google Toolbar and other Google software. Just like Google AdSense for Content and AdSense for Search, Google generates the code that you paste into the desired location on your web page. You can choose from a wide variety of buttons and text links of different colors. As an example of how Google Referrals works, if someone goes to your site and clicks the link and signs up for an AdSense account, when that person earns a $100 from Google AdSense and receives a payout from Google, you'll also receive $100 for referring them. This is a great idea to me, because you can be the world's worst Google AdSense advertiser, but if an ad dynamo happens to visit your site and uses your referral link, you can make money anyway!

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

What are search engine optimization tools, webmaster tools, Google page rank checker, SEO tools, and how can these internet tools help to bring more quality traffic to your Blog?

There are many free online web tools that webmasters can use to find out more information about their sites. The tools can also alert the webmasters to possible problems search engines may have with the site's template codes and design. Here, we shall, for the benefit of our new bloggers, explain how these webmaster tools might help improve your website's PageRank.Search Engine Optimization

We define Search Engine Optimization as – a method or process of improving and optimizing the ranking of a website in search engine results.With millions of pages of search results for any given keyword, webmasters would want to have their website appear among the first couple of search result listings. The higher the position or ranking, the greater the likelihood that internet users will visit your site. This Search Engine Optimization (or SEO) concept is no different from a brick-and-mortar shop where location and visibility affect how many customers will pass by the shop and hopefully drop in for a visit. On the internet, your virtual site deserves a good location and visibility, and SEO consultants believe they know how to achieve that.

Blog Directory and Search Engine Listings

After having published a Blog or website, the first thing to do is to make sure that the information relating to the site is available on the internet. Web Directories, Blog Directories and Search Engines are the internet Yellow Pages. Although the major Search Engines will crawl your website even without any action on your part, it will be much faster if you could proactively provide them your site information. We had written articles on how and where to submit the blog information so as to have your site fully indexed and appear in many places on the internet.

Can You Start an Online Business With No Money?

What is needed to be done to start an online business, but short on cash to invest? A lot of times when I'm browsing through forums I come across people's posts who are new to internet marketing and want to start businesses online. They crave to be successful like the top marketers like Joe Vitale, Terry Dean and others who make a good living online. Yet, many feel it takes quite a bit of cash to start and don't feel they can afford it right now.

To run any business online you of course will cost a little money for web hosting and a domain name. But hosting can be found free with ads and domain names cost around $5. I will show you some things here to help you build your own product and market it for $0. You will want to switch to paid hosting, which is usually about $20 a month (to get rid of the ads) to be more professional to your customers as soon as you start making some advertising money you can invest some back into your business.

You should first (and most importantly in your business plan) make out a list of the skills you have acquired. You may have vast knowledge of an area you have learned at work. Maybe you know more than one language. Or, your hobbies are a great teacher of skills such as in an area of sports.

Now, take a look at your list of skills and find ones that you know would be of interest to other people to learn. Take for example, you love fishing, you wish you could just fish all day long. You know you have areas of expertise in fishing and know others love fishing. Take your knowledge and make a monthly tips course out of it that people would pay to subscribe to. Since you are the expert there is no need to pay someone else to give you information.

Take for another example, my latest ebook #1 on Google in 2 Days. I have been internet marketing for 5 years and have expertise in this niche. When an article of mine jumped to the top of Google, quickly beating out all competition, I analyzed what I exactly had done and made a step by step book of it. Then I made a free download page giving it away to help grow my email list.

And the best part is it was free, I just supplied my knowledge. To actually make the product I did use my Adobe and Snag-it programs. But, you can find similar programs free on the internet. If not a friend probably has programs you could use to build it.

You can still start an online business without a lot of cash, a first option to raise money in your new business is to use your existing knowledge and skill you have picked up in a particular field. The list is probably long; things learned at work, hobbies, or just anything you have a great interest in and have learned a lot about. And, it will be from your own personal view, showing tips and unique ideas. Share and profit by your knowledge.

Making Money on the Internet

Tools for making money on the Internet:

* Adwords and Adsense
* Affiliations
* Site Build It!
* Autoresponders
* Banner Exchanges
* E-commerce
* E-zines
* Link Exchanges
* Mailing Lists
* Merchant Accounts
* Pay Per Click Advertising
* Submission Services and Software

Adwords and Adsense

These two Google programs are very popular ways to both advertise and make money on your website. Adwords are ads that you pay for each time someone clicks on your ad. You create Adwords ads based on keywords that you think people will type into the Google search engine, when looking for your product or service. When people search for your keywords, your ad appears on the right hand side of the search listings.

Adwords also appear on websites that are signed up in the Adsense program. Each time a visitor clicks on one of these ads, the advertiser pays an amount and the website owner collects part of that amount from Google. Some website owners make thousands of dollars a month from Adsense.

For more information, click one of the Google ads at the bottom of this page.
Affiliations

Affiliations are a good way to make money on the Internet. There are hundreds of affiliate programs available to choose from, representing many different kinds of products. The first, and probably most famous, affiliate program was Amazon.com's. The great thing about affiliate programs is that you don't need a product, or even a web site, to make money on the Internet. Many affiliate programs give you a web site to advertise, and that's really all there is to making money this way. Promote, promote, promote!

Things you should look for in an affiliate program are reporting capabilities (so you can see what sales you've made, what commissions are due you and whether they've been paid), multi-tier programs (so you can get paid commissions on the sales of affiliates that have purchased from you), and perhaps most importantly, contact information, should a question or problem arise. High commissions are a big bonus too.
Site Build It!

SBI! is more than a Web host. It's a one-of-a-kind blend of content, process and tools that drives success (domain name and hosting included). SBI! grows Top 3% Traffic Sites that generate substantial income... and freedom. Here's an easy way to build a successful website on your passion.

[Tools menu]
Autoresponders

Autoresponders can make your advertising efforts easier and more lucrative. With an autoresponder, when a potential customer wishes more information about your product, they are automatically sent an e-mail with all the pertinent information. Check out this report from our Valuable Knowledge section: E-Mail, Autoresponders, Information-on-Demand.

Some web hosting services provide autoresponders, or you can sign up with one of several free services (that add and advertisement) such as Getresponse.com or a pay service such as AWeber.

[Tools menu]
Banner Exchanges

Banner exchanges are a good way to attract visitors from other web sites. The idea is that you put a banner for another web site on one of your web pages in exchange for that site putting one of your banners on one of their pages. A good banner exchange program is run by WorldProfit.com.

Banners are cool, but in many ways links are better. People tend to be on guard when they click on a banner. You can position your site better with some well chosen words and a link.

Here are some free Banner makers available on the Internet

* angelfire.com/createabanner
* bannercreator
* crecon.com
* members.tripod.com/createabanner
* mediabuilder

E-commerce

E-commerce is what everybody's talking about these days. Basically it refers to setting up an electronic storefront. You can use forms or shopping carts to take your orders. It is best to accept credit cards or electronic checks for payment, but you can have the customer mail or fax an order in too.

The "Electronic Business Kit" offers Internet entrepreneurs an instant online business, which includes their own revenue-generating Web Commerce Site and an opportunity to make money three (3) ways. The Web Commerce Site is fully enabled with real-time, online credit card processing, toll-free 800 live operator service. AIS Media handles all order processing, product fulfillment and customer services.

[Tools menu]
E-zines

E-zines are electronic magazines or newsletters that get sent as e-mail to a list of subscribers. They usually except advertising, so this is a great way to promote your web site or product. In fact this method of advertising has become one of the best way to get targeted visitors to your web site. Just pick a newsletter that appeals to your intended audience. While we're on the subject, please sign up for our newsletter, What's new at about-the-web.com. A good book on this subject is The E-zine Marketing Machine.

Here are some Directories that list E-zines you might want to advertise in:

* BestEzines.com
* Ezine Adsource Directory
* Ezine Directory
* Ezine Directory Free Marketing News
* Ezine Search
* Ezine Seek
* Ezine Universe
* Ezines Plus
* Foxcities Ezine Directory

Mailing Lists

Mailing Lists are another way to advertise on the Internet. You must be careful when using these lists to make sure the people on the list want to receive email about the product or service you are advertising. Otherwise you might be guilty of Spamming which can get you banned from many servers.

However, it is an excellent idea to get people to sign up for something (a newsletter, free report, etc.) on your website, so that you can create a mailing list of people to send your offers to. Click here to learn how you can safely market to your clients with beautiful html email.
Link Exchanges

One advertising model is called a link exchange. This is where two or more web sites exchange advertising banners and/or links in order to promote each other's site. Some websites have taken this to an extreme. Links on sites with hundreds of links on a page are probably useless to you. Make sure your link will appear on a page on the site that will actually be found by visitors and is not buried on a list with too many other links.

[Tools menu]
Merchant Accounts

If you're selling things on the Internet, you can increase your sales by 30 to 50% by accepting credit cards and electronic checks. There are several ways to do this. You can set up a merchant account with your bank, you can set up a merchant account on line with a company such as QuickCommerce. This site uses the #1 merchant account provider Charge.com to sell it's Valuable Knowledge.

MERCHANT ACCOUNTS FOR THE LITTLE GUY - Even without a Merchant Account, you can start taking credit card orders online. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ClickBank. If you're selling just a few small ticket items, set up an account with 2checkout.com . They handle everything for you. Nothing to buy, no monthly fees, plus an affiliate program!

If you are a small business, a new business, an Internet Business, a Mail Order Business... If your credit is not so good, or have been turned down before, you'll be fighting a long uphill battle and you'll be paying extraordinary fees to obtain a Merchant Account... Until now! AIS Merchant Services makes getting a merchant account quick and easy.

[Tools menu]
Pay Per Click Advertising

A great way of getting qualified traffic to your website is to pay for small ads that appear alongside regular search listings on many search engines. This is called Pay Per Click advertising and typically costs advertisers somewhere between $.01 and $9.99 per click. Advertisers have considerable control over how much they spend and can even determine when and where their ads are displayed.

Here is a list of Pay Per Click search engines to advertise on:

* ABC Search
* Enhance Interactive
* goClick
* Google Adwords
* SearchFeed
* Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture)

Submission Services and Software

There are many submission services and programs that you can use to promote your site with. Most of these will submit your main URL to many search engines. You can also submit classified ads easily with these services or programs. A good service is MGAWEB's Super Submission.

40 Ways to Make Money on the Internet

I did a little bookmark scrub this morning and thought I would share the remaining content of my "Online Money" folder. To warn you, there are certain things that I don't like and never bookmark so:

What's NOT included: Taking Surveys, Get Paid to Surf the Internet, MLM, Programs with a ton of negative user experiences (based on researching forums, Googling them, etc.), Contest Sites, "Buy my DVD, CD, Audiobook", etc.

What IS included: Things you can use to legitimately make money online - Everything from Getting Paid to review software to good ole' Adsense.

Anyway, here you go. The second batch is is available here.

* Adbrite - Sell space on your site for text ads

* Amazon Affiliate Program - Easily create a store or shopping section on your site instead of sending your visitors to Amazon. Amazon handles the shopping cart and fulfillment.

* Amazon Seller - Sell your stuff on Amazon

* Associated Content - If you write a story, how-to, rant, etc. you can submit it to them and they will pay you $3-$20 per article if they like it

* Azoogleads - Another ad program. They do have some decent companies lined up as advertisers. You provide space, they'll provide an ad.

* BidVertiser - PPC (pay per click) program with a low $10 payout amount.

* Bravenet - These guys offer a ton of services for webmasters and blog owners. Although I feel like I was spammed for a while, it has ceased and they'll pay you $1 for each person you send over

* Blog - Start a blog and consistently write excellent content. With good ad placement, you may make some money.

* Business Opportunities Blog - I am adding this because I am a subscriber to their site and I see ideas everyday that could result in making money. A lot of the ideas pertain to online businesses. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur, it's a good reference.

* Cafepress - You provide a design, they'll toss it on a T-Shirt, Hat, etc. No upfront costs. Get a free online shop and promote your products on your website.

* Chitika - Their eMiniMalls service has shown great results for many Bloggers and site owners. You choose a keyword and they show relevant products on your site using a pretty unique interface.

* Clickbank - Another Affiliate Program site with 10,000+ products to advertise

* ClicknWork - Get paid $5-$150 per hour for basically doing freelance work on a per-assignment basis. You have to pass a pretty tough test to get in.

* Clicksor - These are the guys that generate contextual ads on sites that show up when you hover over a double-underlined word.

* Commission Junction - If you have a site, you can join Commission Junction. Once enrolled for free, you can choose companies whose ads are pertinent to your site. Companies have the ultimate say on working with you. There are easily over 1,000 companies to choose from here.

* CreamAid - For blogs only, advertisers provide you with a topic and you write about it on your site. To do this, you have to install a flash widget into your blog post. The more people you bring into the conversation through the widget, the more you get paid. It's difficult to explain.

* eefoof - Think of it as YouTube + Flickr + Music. You add original content and they pay you based on the visitors you attract.

* Ether - If you are an expert on something, Ether provides a way for people to pay you to talk about it in a one-on-one setting. If you want to charge $250/hr, that's fine. You have to do all the advertising so you should have a blog or site already established.

* eBay- Come on, you know what this is. Gather your junk and sell it!

* eBay Stores - If you have a real store and want to sell your stuff online, this is a decent option to get you started.

* ELance - Name gives it away. Programmers, Codes, Web Designers, Writers, Editors, can look for freelance opportunities.

* Feedvertising - This is an arm of Text Link Ads and is currently only good for Wordpress 2.0 Users. This does me no good currently, but as you can guess, they place ads in your feed(s).

* Feedburner - Not only are they the best place to house your feeds, they will also add ads to your feed and website. You get paid per impression.

* Google Adsense - Come on, you don't need an explanation; these ads are all over the place. Google displays relevant ads based on your site's content

* Google Adwords - Create simple text ads and choose keywords that determine when they are displayed. This is where the Adsense Content comes from. You do not need a site for this.

* SHUT DOWN Google Answers - If you are good, Google will pay you to answer questions in your specialty. Questions all come from normal people like you and me. You can get paid $2.50+ per answer you provide.

* H3.com - Get paid to fill jobs. Commissions range from $50-$5,000. It all depends on how tough the job is to fill and how desperate the hiring company is. This is another one that's tough to explain.

* Indeed.com - Add their job board to your site. They then post jobs based on the geographic location of visitors and the position types you pre-select. I tried it and I they continually report that I sent 0 visitors and I know that's not right. Nevertheless, I may have an isolated problem so they make the list.

* InnerSell - If you have a customer that wants to buy something you cannot sell, you can sell the lead here.

* Jellyfish - This is a shopping site that pays you a percentage of the purchases made by people you refer. They are not part of a wider affiliate program so you do it direct.

* Jigsaw - It's a pretty flaky model but if you have a Rolodex full of good contacts, you can sell them here. I can't make sense of it but it looks like you get $0.10 per profile.

* KarmaOne - They are basically a recruiting website. If you fill one of their jobs by finding a good candidate, you'll get paid anywhere from $50-$12,000. It all depends on how desperate the hiring company is.

* LinkShare.com - If you have a site, you can join Linkshare. Once enrolled for free, you can choose companies whose ads are pertinent to your site. Companies have the ultimate say on working with you. Like Commission Junction, there are a ton of companies waiting to evaluate your site.

* Microsoft Adcenter - Bid on keywords and Microsoft places your created ads then they are searched for. This is similar to Google Adwords. You do not need a site for this.

* Overstock.com - Sell your stuff on Overstock.com

* Pageflakes - This is a company that developed a user-defined Ajax homepage to show feeds, flickr photos, and a ton of other things. Think of it as a replacement for your Google Homepage. Anyway - they'll pay you $1 per referral that you send over. They are not part of a wider affiliate program so you do it direct. This one is pretty simple.

* Pay Per Post - I don't agree with this model entirely but they have advertisers that will pay you to write about their products on your blog.

* Pheedo - If you have an RSS feed, run it through Pheedo. Like Feedburner, they can include ads into your feed and if you really become large, advertisers will pay a premium for you to show their ads.

* Shareasale.com - I've never really worked with them but I do have an account. They are similar to Commission Junction and Linkshare however they seem to have lower tiered companies with advertising offers.

* Shoemoney - This is a blog that can teach you a ton on making money online. I've spent hours reading his old stuff.

* Software Judge - They will pay you up to $50 to review software.

* Text Link Ads - I have never made a dime here but I know people that have. You can earn by sending advertisers to them or by selling spots on your site. You must have a real site or blog to do this - nothing on a shared domain (i.e. /blogspot).

* Vibrant Media - Don't bother unless your site has 500,000 page views of text based content a month. If you have that readership, these are the guys that display bubble box ads to underlined words on your site.

* West Work At Home Agent - Not entirely online but this is worth a mention because it's won awards and is very legitimate. If you are an at-home Mom or free-lancer without work, you should check this out.

* Yahoo! Merchant Solutions - This is a pretty simple and cheap way to create an online store.

Search engine optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As a marketing strategy for increasing a site's relevance, SEO considers how search algorithms work and what people search for. SEO efforts may involve a site's coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that tend to harm search engine user experience. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques and may remove them from their indices.

The initialism "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimizers", terms adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, URLs, and shopping carts that are easy to optimize.

We Won't Notice the Rise of the Machines

I think that the idea of mapping characters out of video and the
other idea of creating AI constructs from videos of people will really
happen someday. Remember in Bruce Sterling's "Bicycle Repairman", that
the senator's mook (receptionist/valet software) had basically begun to
think it WAS the senator. The mook had originated as a diary. It had
appropriated the speech patterns of the senator, and many of his
opinions too.
It seems to me that this is just an extension of the same type of
software that recommends books and music to you at Amazon. Instead of
book purchases though, this software would catalog a person's word and
phrase usage, their facial expressions and the events giving rise to
them, and so on.

The Internet as Personal Memory

Well, the Internet is going to become my audio/video/photographic memory. My flickr account lets me store my photos online. Soon I will start uploading videos to Google Video (or somewhere) so the whole world can watch my home movies....

You know, there's a touch of this in Bruce Sterling's short story, "Maneki Neko". It's a great story, and can be found in his anthology "A Good, Old-Fashioned Future".

I'm continuing my move to the use of all Open software. I have one Linux box up and running. It was rescued from a relative, had XP home on it, and was almost completely trashed by viruses. Since it came to me for free, I didn't feel like I was risking anything by formatting the disk and starting over.

Traffic Exchange - A great source of Traffic

Traffic Exchange - A great source of Traffic

Traffic exchange is basically a platform for those who want traffic, they do so by visiting each other's website, but not through giving links to each other. Everyone makes an account, sets up his website for traffic and then surfs the websites of others which are displayed in a frame. To me traffic exchanges are a great source of getting good visitors to the website.I am currently using two traffic Exchanges which I would advise others to join as well. They are the most easy to use. They are TrafficG and Fast Free Way.

You usually have to visit each visit for 15-30 seconds. After this you have to complete a human verification, this is to prevent bots from accumulating traffic. After this you will be paid about 0.5 visitors in the case of fast free way. So for every two websites you visit, you get one visitor in return, which is not bad at all. According to this after 30 minutes you can get 60 visitors to your website. They also have contest like referrals contest and clicking contest in which the winner gets free visits.

If anyone of you is lazy enough and cannot view websites to get visitors, then you can also purchase visitors, fast free way offers 1000 visitors for $10.00 . You can also save this money, if you can visit websites your self, this choice is yours. When you refer people to the website you get 20% visits to your website for the visits your referral has earned. This way you can get even more visits to your website.

Orkut tips and tricks, Unblock Orkut, Bypass Restricted Sites

Proxut.com - orkut proxy

Proxut.com is a working orkut proxy. Yes, i am using that word “working” because so many proxy sites i have seen which claim to be a orkut proxy. But usually i couldn’t even login into orkut while using those proxy sites. The reason behind this is simple, orkut login is not regular login way, it consists of authentication at various levels. So all the proxy sites are not able to login into orkut while they still can access other social networking sites like myspac, bebo and other such sites.

So, i am satisfied with the way this orkut proxy works. With the help of proxut.com you wil be able to access orkut.com even in your colleges, schools and offices where it is blocked by the system administrator. Proxut still needs to change its server because sometimes it becomes slow, i can understand the high volumes of traffic they must be handling. In coming days they will be left be no other option but to take their orkut proxy to a new server. In the meanwhile the service is still great.

Myspace Unblocker

http://www.TempleOfTheDog.info Check out this great proxy. Click here: Myspace Unblocker to visit it. It is brand new and has a great design and is lightning fast!

Unblock Orkut, MySpace, Facebook & more via secure proxy!

https://www.zogler.com/ is a SSL-certified secure proxy, which means your information is kept safe and that filters have a harder time finding it. Works with Orkut, MySpace (vids!), Facebook, YouTube, etc. Great for either hiding your identity or just bypassing school/work firewalls.

UnblockEscape.com Unblocks Every Site...

http://www.unblockescape.com/ unblocks myspace, facebook, bebo, friendster, youtube etc. In short, now you can surf all the sites from anywhere, even where these sites are blocked like in offices, schools and colleges. Moreover, it helps you in protecting your privacy as your IP address remains hidden from everyone. So go on and enjoy.

Improve Memory With Simple Techniques

Improve memory easily? Yes, there really are some simple techniques, and you can start using them right now. Here are a few to get you started.

  1. Tell yourself to remember. When you first learn a person's name, for example, tell yourself, "remember that". This signals your unconscious mind to rank this input higher in importance.

  2. Know why you want to remember something. For example, to remember a person, think about how that person will be important to you in the future. If you want to remember fact about something, think about how you'll will need them someday.
  3. Visualize the future. Imagine where you'll see a person next, and anything you notice about them. Use this with the last technique. The additional associations will set the memory more firmly in your brain.
  4. Retrace your steps. When you forget something, like where you put your keys, you probably retrace your steps. This works, but try it in your mind, as if you were watching yourself from a distance. This can help keep you from blanking out parts of your route, as you did when you first set the keys down.
  5. Plan your memory. When you set down the keys on the chair, see yourself walking in and setting the keys on the chair. You could also quickly imagine someone asking where you put them and you answering "on the chair." You'll remember where they are if you do this.

Improve Memory With Proven "Tricks"

I went to a birthday party as a child. A party contest involved looking at a table covered in 15 various items for a few minutes. Then the things were taken away, and then we each got a piece

of paper and a pencil. We had to write down as many items as we could remember. I recalled seven or eight, but one little boy got all 15 items, and won the prize.

Years later I learned how he did it. His father taught him a simple technique that none of us other kids knew. The trick is to tie the items together in an imaginative story. Let's say you want to remember the following things: milk, soap, forks, honey, and flowers.

You create a story, and see it vividly in your head: At the bathroom sink, you reach for the soap, but the soap dish is filled with milk, so you wash your hands with that, then comb honey into your hair with a fork, pick up a bouquet of flowers and smile at yourself in the mirror. Repeat each item to yourself as you review this "movie" in your imagination, and you'll remember all five things, even the next day.

Create Good Memory Habits

Guess what the biggest problem with memory techniques is? Remembering to use them. Seriously, there are many great methods, but if you don't have the habit of using them, you'll forget to when you need them most. With any technique, make a conscious effort to use it until it becomes automatic. That's how to improve memory.

IT Interview Questions, Programming Interviews, Crack Interviews

This is the outcome of experience in this field. The information is useful especially for freshers. Sample question papers for software companies are provided.

I did not talk to anybody while preparing this page because there is nothing great about interviews. Take it easy...Be honest...polite...Don't try to pretend that you know everything...accept your mistakes ...Don't argue with interviews panel...I have seen many guys doing that...

Please don't send me mails asking for question papers of a particular company...or the answers of questions presented out here... Is it ethical to have a question paper before written exam?... it is upto you...I have nothing to say...

If you wish you can send your interview experience to share with us....Current Job scenario is pretty good... Make Hay While Sun Shines !...

Happy Job Hunting....

Basic Interview Preparation

General Interview Puzzles

Earlier I'd thought of giving a lots of puzzles. Actually the sites given below have everything if you follow the links given out there correctly. You need to face puzzle solving only if you are fresher.

Programming Puzzles - Job Interview Puzzles

Some companies certainly ask for these things. Specially Microsoft. Here are my favorite puzzles. Don't send me emails asking for the solutions.

  1. Write a "Hello World" program in 'C' without using a semicolon.
  2. Write a C++ program without using any loop (if, for, while etc) to print numbers from 1 to 100 and 100 to 1;
  3. C/C++ : Exchange two numbers without using a temporary variable.
  4. C/C++ : Find if the given number is a power of 2.
  5. C/C++ : Multiply x by 7 without using multiplication (*) operator.
  6. C/C++ : Write a function in different ways that will return f(7) = 4 and f(4) = 7
  7. Remove duplicates in array
  8. Finding if there is any loop inside linked list.
  9. Remove duplicates in an no key access database without using an array
  10. Convert (integer) number in binary without loops.
  11. Write a program whose printed output is an exact copy of the source. Needless to say, merely echoing the actual source file is not allowed.
  12. From a 'pool' of numbers (four '1's, four '2's .... four '6's), each player selects a number and adds it to the total. Once a number is used, it must be removed from the pool. The winner is the person whose number makes the total equal 31 exactly.
  13. Swap two numbers without using a third variable.
  14. Given an array (group) of numbers write all the possible sub groups of this group.

How to Manually Remove Viruses From Your System

Note: This solution will work only against those Viruses which does not infect Windows own Exe files e.g like explorer.exe

Virus Symptoms

You may have seen some unexpected things that should not happen. Some of the symptoms of viruses are:

Disables Task Manager

Disables Registry Editor

Disables Command Prompt

Sometime you have no application open but CPU usage goes over 50%

My Computer Drives not opening by Double Click

Automatic Shutdown

Computer Slows down

Hidden Files will not be showing

Folder Options will be disappear

Manual Removal

If you have tried all the solutions listed on our site and still could not disinfect your system then try to manually remove the virus using the instructions below. There are four steps
Caution: While the manual
process is going on do not open any My Computer drive through My
Computer

1. Process Termination

In order to complete the
instructions below. You need to have Process Explorer and Autoruns.
Download them separately

Powerexes.exe

Close and exit all programs (even from tray) except Internet Explorer
or your internet browser.

Run process explorer by typing procexp in the start menu

Run and do as illustrated.

1111.jpg

After collapsing
1212.jpg
procexp.exe is Process Explorer’s own process
All the system process are collapsed in the system tree, so if you see a process like winlogon.exe in explorer tree then it is surely a virus
If you do see any suspicious process, Processes can be sought for their suspiciousness at http://www.processlibrary.com/
Right click on it if the process is found and then properties. In the path: field copy the path and Open Run Dialogue and paste the path there
Now terminate the suspicious task in process explorer
If the same process starts again then suspend the process by right clicking on it and click suspend on the menu. Remove the name of the application from path now listing only folder.

e.g If you have copied C:\WINDOWS\system32\mspaint.exe then remove mspaint.exe and you will see C:\WINDOWS\system32\ this in the Run Dialogue.
How to Manually Remove Viruses From Your System

2. File Deletion

The second step is deleting files. Download 7-ZIP which will show you all hidden files and go through the root path of every drive

screenshot010.jpg

Delete .exe and autorun.inf like

ravmon.exe, smss.exe,Funny UST Scandal.exe

But do not delete these files as these are system files

autoexec.bat, boot.ini, bootmgr,config.sys, io.sys, msdos.sys, ntdetect.com, pagefile.sys,ntldr, hiberfil.sys

3. Removal of startup entries

Now you have successfully terminated virus process the next thing is to remove those virus files which run upon system start.
Open Autoruns by typing autoruns in the Run Dialogue. Wait while refreshing completes.

In the Options –> Hide Microsoft Entries. And click Refresh button on the interface OR Close the program and start again

autoruns.jpg

After scanning completes select Logontab and uncheck all the entries be sure do not unselect any Microsoft Entry.Restart system for the changes to take effect.

4. Restoring Windows Default settings

Use Smart Anti-Virus to restore some settings
Smart Anti-Virus

Now scanning your system for an fully functional Anti-Virus will be the last suggestion as my own Anti-Virus can only catch almost 10 viruses

Troubleshooting

Incase of any problem. you did a wrong move. Open Autoruns, in the Options –> Unselect Hide Microsoft Entries. And click Refresh button on the interface OR and select all entries .Close the program and start your system again.
